Social Bookmarking

Everybody who navigates the web has some favorite pages that he/she loves to visit as one navigates on the web. One would love the links of these pages to be stored to make it easy for them to access the links every time they feel like. Storing this links to the pages is referred to as bookmarking. Social Bookmarkeing
is becoming increasingly famous for web surfers. It has also made marketing to be an easy task for people who engage in online marketing.

Social bookmarking involves advising a friend to visit a specific website or webpage. If you have forwarded a link to a friend so that they can visit a specific site, that is referred to as social bookmarking.

Social bookmarking assists one to locate, classify and even share a specific bookmark with other surfers. It also involves storing the link for later use.

This links are not necessarily stored to your hard drive but are stored online so people who are navigating on the web can easily access them and go to the specific pages that have been bookmarked.

Such examples of this bookmarking sites are like Propeller, Newsvine, Twitter and even Delicious.

Most of these sites have been made in such a way that they can conduct searches faster and are more specific, not like previous days where searching on the internet was a daunting task, currently you can perform searches faster than expected through this sites.

This has made what was previously just a means of sharing links to web pages to be one of the most preferred search engines available.

The social bookmarking sites can also be used for online marketing and search engine optimization even though previously it wasn't meant for this.
